As Scheme Auditors we will undertake the following schedule of services
Examine, review, and assess all aspects of the Project, including internal development procedures, and whether Housing Corporation compliance has been met
Carry out desktop and on-site evaluations
Identify any anomalies or weaknesses present
Provide various alternatives and recommendations to the Client
Determine whether value for money is being achieved or not
Provide forms and checklists for reviewing consultants and addressing scheme matters such as funding, SHG, feasibility etc
Ensure that recommendations have been followed up
In addition to the above we are able to provide independent performance checks on procedural compliance as required by E3 of Scheme Development Standards.
About Us:
Astec Consultant Services was established in 1997 to provide services that were not readily available elsewhere in the market. The practice has experienced a steady growth ever since and is currently responsible for projects all over the Home Counties, East Midlands and East Anglia. The company's Principal has over 40 years experience in the construction industry as a whole as well as working knowledge of the Housing Corporation. We are a medium sized practice with offices in London.
Our work covers an unusually wide range in both size and type. Projects vary from minor to £12 million plus single property developments.
As Planning Supervisors we will undertake the following schedule of services
Receive and assess all necessary information on the Project
Assess, establish, and confirm the competency of proposed designers and contractors, ensure notification to the Health and Safety Executive
Liaise with all members of the Design and Construction team for the Project
Provide advice on design feasibility
Ensure that all foreseeable risks to design, location, and persons have been addressed or eliminated
Prepare the Pre-Tender Health and Safety Plan
Advise and comment on the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan
As Electrical and Mechanical Consultants we will undertake the following schedule of services
Provide performance specifications for the design and installation of all electrical and mechanical services, including assessment and suitably of products
Provide performance specifications for the design and installation of above and below ground drainage, including rainwater systems.
Prepare schedule of works and tender documentation and obtain competitive pricing on behalf of the client
Carry out site visits in order to supervise and monitor the installation and commissioning as works progress on site
Liaise with all concerned parties and provide technical advice to members of the design team and appointed contractors
Prepare full design and drawings for electrical and mechanical services
Provide SAP ratings
Provide performance specifications for the design and installation of data and home automation services
Provide progress reports to client
